Disabled American Veterans to hold 46th anniversary event

Jul. 14--ASHEBORO -- The Ernest McAlister Chapter 38 of the Disabled American Veterans will observe the 46th anniversary of its founding with a meeting and catered meal.
The event will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall, 1928 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be practiced and all attendees will be required to wear face coverings.
All veterans of the military and their spouses are invited but are asked to let Commander Joe Beane know by Aug. 1 so that the proper amount of food can be ordered. He can be reached at 336-953-8013.
