For Veterans Day, Annapolis police honor vets on the force

The Annapolis Police Department released photos of officers who have served in the Armed Forces.

Caption: Officer John Triggs enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2009. He served four years as a communications technician and was honorably discharged in 2014. Officer Triggs is currently assigned to a patrol.

Investigator Stanley Brandford enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1978. He was honorably discharged in 1988. Investigator Brandford is currently assigned as the supervisor of cold case investigations and reentry.

Detective Paul Sullivan enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2003. He served as a rifleman until he was honorably discharged in 2009. Detective Sullivan is currently assigned to criminal investigations.

Corporal David Stokes enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1997. He served as a machine gunner until he was honorably discharged in 2001. Corporal Stokes is currently assigned to the Office of the Chief.

Officer Bruce Ko enlisted in the United States Army in 1996. Officer Ko continued to serve as a cryptologic linguist until 2020, when he retired as a first sergeant. Officer Ko is currently assigned to patrol.

Officer Rodney Butler enlisted in the United States Army in 1985. Officer Butler continued to serve for over 20 years. Butler retired as a first sergeant in 2020 and is currently assigned to intelligence.

Officer Matthew Adornetto enlisted in the United States Army in 2009. He served as Military Police until he was honorably discharged in 2017. Officer Adornetto is currently assigned to patrol.

Officer Edward Latney enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2013. He is presently assigned to a logistics platoon in the Marine Reserves. Officer Latney is currently assigned to patrol.

Officer John Lee enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2010. He is presently assigned as a firearms instructor in the Air National Guard. Officer Lee is currently assigned to patrol.

Detective Gwynne Tavel enlisted in the United States Army in 2006. He is presently serving in the National Guard as a special agent. Detective Tavel is currently
